Mareep

The Mareep card numbered SVP 107 was released as part of the Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos set, a series of cards distributed outside of standard expansion boosters to celebrate specific events, retail partnerships, or thematic releases. This card was specifically included in the Paldea Evolved Three-Pack Blister, designed to bolster the set's presence in retail markets and provide collectors with a distinct variant of the Electric-type Pokémon during the transition to the ninth generation of the franchise.

The artwork for this card captures Mareep in its typical pastoral setting, emphasizing the character's gentle nature through soft lighting and a focus on its woolly texture. As a promotional release, the card utilizes the standardized template of the Scarlet & Violet era, which introduced a cleaner, silver-bordered aesthetic. It was received by the collecting community as a accessible entry point for players and fans looking to complete their promotional sets, valued primarily for its specific collector number and the consistency of the era's design language.
