Nihilego-GX

Nihilego-GX was originally introduced to the Pokémon Trading Card Game as part of the 2017 Sun & Moon—Crimson Invasion expansion, designed to represent the Parasite Pokémon from the Alola region. The artwork for the standard version was created by 5ban Graphics, a studio frequently commissioned by The Pokémon Company to produce sleek, high-definition digital illustrations for GX-era cards. These cards were central to the competitive meta of the time, emphasizing the game's shift toward powerful, multi-prize Pokémon-GX mechanics.

The Shiny Vault version, SV62/94, appeared in the 2019 special expansion Hidden Fates. This set was notable for celebrating the concept of 'Shiny' Pokémon—variants with different color palettes—which have been highly coveted collectibles since their introduction in the second generation of video games. This specific card features the distinct gold-and-white coloration of Shiny Nihilego, rendered in a textured, foil-etched style that distinguished 'Rare Shiny GX' cards from their standard counterparts and solidified their status as highlights for completionist collectors.
