Palpitoad

Palpitoad 35/124 was released in the Dragons Exalted expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which debuted in 2012 as the seventh main expansion of the Black & White series. This set was notable for introducing the Dragon-type to the game, expanding the strategic landscape by shifting focus toward powerful, multi-energy requirements. Palpitoad, a dual Water and Ground type, was included here as part of the standard uncommon roster to bridge the evolutionary gap between Tympole and Seismitoad.

The card features artwork by illustrator Kouki Saitou, whose work is characterized by clean lines and an accessible, vibrant style consistent with the mid-Black & White era aesthetic. Saitou’s depiction captures the creature in a static, centered pose that emphasizes its distinctive toad-like form and round yellow protrusions. As a common utility card within the set, it was designed primarily for playability in the Limited and Constructed formats, offering players a dependable middle-stage evolution for Water-type decks.
