Path to the Peak

Path to the Peak was introduced as an uncommon trainer card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion Chilling Reign, which launched globally in June 2021. The set was heavily inspired by the Crown Tundra region from the Pokémon Sword and Shield video games, focusing on legendary Pokémon such as Calyrex and the Galarian forms of the legendary birds. This card was designed as a disruptive stadium card, serving as a tactical tool to suppress the abilities of Pokémon with a Rule Box, a category that encompasses powerful V, VMAX, and GX cards that dominated the competitive landscape at the time.

The card's artwork features a serene, snow-covered mountain path leading toward the peak of a jagged mountain, reflecting the austere atmosphere of the Crown Tundra.
