What it does
Once during your turn (before your attack), if any of your Pokémon were Knocked Out during your opponent's last turn, you may search your discard pile for up to 2 basic Energy cards, show them to your opponent, and put them into your hand. You can't use more than 1 Plus Charge Poké-Power each turn. This power can't be used if Plusle is affected by a Special Condition.
If you have Minun on your Bench, you may do 20 damage to any 1 Benched Pokémon instead. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
It cheers on friends with pom-poms made of sparks. It drains power from telephone poles.

Where it came from
Plusle (36/132) was released as part of the Secret Wonders expansion, which debuted in late 2007 as part of the Diamond & Pearl series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This set was designed to introduce players to the Sinnoh region, focusing on mechanics that emphasized the evolution and synergy of Pokémon. The art style of this era leaned into the bright, clean aesthetic associated with the Diamond & Pearl video games, aiming to capture the energetic spirit of the series' mascot-style electric rodents.
The illustration for this card was crafted to emphasize Plusle's cheerful and supportive nature, consistent with its in-game portrayal as a Pokémon that cheers on its allies. As a rare card within the set, it served as a mid-tier utility piece for deck builders of the time. Upon its release, it was well-received by collectors who favored the uniform, high-production standard that characterized the trading card game during the mid-2000s, reflecting the enduring appeal of the dual electric-mouse duo introduced in the third generation.
