Pokémon Catcher was originally introduced to the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the Black & White era, quickly becoming a staple card due to its powerful effect that allows a player to switch their opponent's Active Pokémon with one from their Bench. The Sun & Moon expansion, released in early 2017, marked the beginning of the seventh generation of Pokémon, introducing players to the Alola region and new mechanics such as GX attacks.
