Provenance

Where it came from

Victini 12/86 was released as part of the Black & White: Noble Victories expansion, which debuted in the TCG in late 2011. As a core member of the fifth-generation Pokémon roster, Victini was designed as the series' first Mythical Pokémon, intended to symbolize victory and fortune. The illustration captures the character's energetic and diminutive stature, reflecting the aesthetic shift toward more vibrant, creature-focused art styles that defined the Black & White era of the franchise.

The card was produced during a period when The Pokémon Company was heavily promoting the debut of the Unova region. Artistically, the card follows the design standards of the Noble Victories set, which sought to bring the new generation of Pokémon to life for collectors. Upon its release, the rare holographic finish and the card's specific ability mechanics made it a notable entry for both competitive players and those seeking to complete the expansion set.
