Cicca Cicca Laminè / Non Voglio Più

Released in 1967 on the Italdisc label, this single by Les Collégiennes de la Chanson represents a specific moment in Italian pop music when vocal groups, often inspired by the yé-yé style emerging from France, were popular. The group sought to capture a lighthearted, youthful energy typical of the late sixties Italian music scene, serving as a reflection of the era's appetite for melodic, upbeat vocal harmony tracks.

The recording features a bright, breezy production that aligns with the aesthetic of mid-sixties Italdisc releases, a label known for its diverse roster of pop and chanson artists. While Les Collégiennes de la Chanson were not a permanent fixture of the international charts, their work is documented by collectors as a niche artifact of Italian pop culture, appreciated for its specific arrangement style and the studio polish characteristic of Italian independent labels at the time.
