Hoàng Tử Trong Mơ / Ngàn Thu Vĩnh Biệt / Nếu Anh Là Chồng / Niềm Thương Nỗi Nhớ

Released in 1972 on the Dư Âm label, this record represents a quintessential example of the flourishing music scene in South Vietnam during the early 1970s. During this era, local labels frequently compiled popular bolero, sentimental, and romantic tracks onto single discs to cater to a public eager for music that offered respite from the prevailing social and political tensions. The curation of such records often reflected the prevailing trends of the urban night-life and radio broadcasts of the period.

The production process for these types of compilations relied on the collaborative efforts of established composers and vocalists who defined the sound of Saigon's music industry. By combining titles like 'Hoàng Tử Trong Mơ' and 'Ngàn Thu Vĩnh Biệt,' the label aimed to capture a mood of longing and nostalgia, which were common themes in the 'nhạc vàng' (golden music) genre. These records were distributed through local shops and served as essential cultural touchstones for the community, though the lack of formal catalog numbers indicates the informal, rapid nature of the independent recording industry at the time.
