Where it came from
Released under the Peace Foundation Music label, this record emerged from a niche intersection of contemporary electronic and experimental composition. The project, credited to Loïc Paulin and Camille Riccoboni, reflects a mid-2010s movement that sought to blend ambient soundscapes with thematic, structural influences drawn from classical motifs, specifically referencing the grandeur of Dvořák's New World Symphony within a modern, synthesized framework.
The design of the release maintains a minimalist, functional aesthetic typical of the independent electronic pressings distributed by Peace Foundation Music. While the artists aimed to bridge the gap between academic musical theory and accessible ambient club sounds, the work remains an obscure curiosity within the genre, valued primarily by collectors of European experimental electronic music for its specific sonic texture and deliberate departure from standard rhythmic conventions.
