Jean-Claude Piérot Jacques-Ivan Duchesne

The 1979 release of the collaborative record by Jean-Claude Piérot and Jacques-Ivan Duchesne, cataloged as P.0020, emerged from the independent experimental music scene in France during the late 1970s. Published by the boutique label Le Dernier Pour La Route, the work reflects the era's fascination with avant-garde minimalism and spoken-word performance art, serving as a snapshot of the underground creative exchange occurring in Paris at the time.

The record represents a distinct effort to blend poetic narrative with atmospheric soundscapes, a hallmark of Duchesne's broader artistic pursuits. While the production is notoriously elusive and maintains a cult following among specialists of obscure French electronic and experimental music, its design and tonal approach were received as a bold departure from mainstream pop music, emphasizing intimate, conceptual sonic experiences over commercial viability.
