Kammermusik - Kleines Konzert Für Viola, Klarinette Und Klavier / Acht Stücke Für Flöte Und Klavier / Formation Et Solution

Released by the Austrian label Amadeo under the catalog number AVRS 5019, this record is part of a series dedicated to promoting contemporary Austrian chamber music. Produced during a period of significant post-war interest in modern composition, the album serves as a curated showcase for works by Alfred Uhl, Erich Urbanner, and Friedrich Cerha. These pieces reflect the evolving landscape of 20th-century classical music in Vienna, bridging the gap between traditional tonal structures and the experimental currents that defined the mid-century avant-garde.

The album features performances of Kammermusik, Kleines Konzert, and Acht Stücke, compositions that prioritize technical precision and intricate instrumental interplay. The design and presentation follow the standard aesthetic of the Amadeo AVRS series, which sought to bring academic and professional attention to emerging Austrian composers. While the record was primarily marketed toward scholars and connoisseurs of contemporary music, it remains a notable historical document of the collaborative efforts between Amadeo and the contemporary composing scene in Vienna during the 1960s.
