Lebendig - Zwischen Zorn Und Zärtlichkeit

Released in 1983 on the independent label Gefühl Und Stärke, 'Lebendig - Zwischen Zorn Und Zärtlichkeit' emerged during a period of vibrant introspection within the German-language singer-songwriter scene. The record was crafted as a response to the societal pressures of the early eighties, aiming to bridge the gap between aggressive political posturing and deeply personal, tender vulnerability. Liedermeier sought to capture the tension of daily life through sparse, lyrical compositions that favored emotional honesty over commercial polish.

The album's design mirrors its thematic focus, utilizing a stark, minimalist aesthetic that emphasizes the artist's raw delivery. Produced at a time when the genre was shifting toward more experimental textures, the record was initially met with critical curiosity. While it remained a niche release within the catalog of Gefühl Und Stärke, it has since gained recognition among collectors of post-war German folk and contemporary songcraft for its commitment to thematic nuance and its rejection of mainstream production tropes of the era.
