Provenance

Where it came from

Released in 1999 on the label Rebound Action, this split 7-inch record represents a specific moment in the late nineties experimental and noise underground scene. The record serves as a showcase for the artists Manifold and Lamina, functioning as a collaborative artifact that highlights the industrial and avant-garde soundscapes prevalent in niche independent music distribution during that era.

The design of the record, cataloged as r.a. #007, reflects the lo-fi, DIY aesthetic common to the Rebound Action label’s identity. The packaging was crafted to prioritize the raw, tactile nature of the music, intended for a small but dedicated audience of collectors who followed the label's output of harsh, textural electronic experiments.
