Roy Rodgers Rides A Reindeer was released in 1985 by Four Feather Falls Records as the debut catalog entry, fff 001, for the novelty ensemble known as The Cactus Stompers!. Emerging during a mid-eighties revival of cowboy-themed kitsch, the record sought to blend traditional western motifs with the ironic, high-energy sensibilities of the underground country-punk movement.
