Sinfonie K.16, K.73, K.130, K.162

This recording was released in 1981 by Fabbri Editori as part of their extensive series dedicated to the life and works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, Fabbri produced comprehensive music appreciation kits that paired high-quality classical recordings with illustrated editorial booklets, aiming to make the canon accessible to a broad audience of listeners and students.

The performances feature the Mainzer Kammerorchester conducted by Günter Kehr, a violinist and conductor well-regarded for his dedication to the chamber music repertoire of the 18th century. The interpretation focuses on the early symphonic output of Mozart—specifically works composed during his youth in Salzburg and his travels in Italy—emphasizing the clarity, grace, and stylistic evolution of the young composer's developing orchestral language.
