Altar for Tribute

Altar for Tribute was released as part of the Dark Crisis booster set in 2003, a period when the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game was rapidly expanding its reach to international markets. As a common trap card, it was designed to provide players with a situational method of board control, allowing them to destroy a monster that was successfully Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned by sacrificing one of their own monsters.
