Altergeist Peritrator

Altergeist Peritrator was introduced in the Duelist Nexus booster set, released in 2023 as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game. This card belongs to the Altergeist archetype, a theme centered around cybernetic spirits that utilize trap-focused strategies to control the board and disrupt opponent plays. The archetype was originally designed to provide a high-skill ceiling control deck, and Peritrator serves as a modern support piece intended to enhance the consistency and flexibility of Altergeist boards in contemporary competitive play.

The design of the card reflects the aesthetic identity of the Altergeist series, which blends digital, glitch-like visual motifs with spectral, ethereal beings. Like other members of the archetype, Peritrator features a sleek, technological design language intended to look like a manifestation of data and ghosts. Its release in Duelist Nexus was met with moderate interest from collectors and competitive players alike, who valued its utility in streamlining the complex combo patterns that define the archetype's presence in the game.
