Ambush Fangs

Ambush Fangs was released as part of the Tactical Evolution booster set in 2007. The set marked a significant era for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, introducing the Gemini monster mechanic and expanding the variety of support cards available to players. As a common rarity trap card, it was designed to provide accessible defensive utility for players looking to disrupt opponent strategies during the mid-2000s competitive meta.

The card features an illustration consistent with the dark, creature-focused aesthetic common to the set's monster-themed trap cards. Designed to function as a reactive play against attacking monsters, its artistic direction reflects the visceral, predatory theme often found in trap cards of that period. While it did not reach the status of staple competitive cards, it serves as a representative example of the wide array of situational support traps developed during the GX-era of the game.
