Amulet Dragon

Amulet Dragon was first released in the 2014 set Dragons of Legend, designed to bring iconic cards from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series into the physical trading card game. This particular printing hails from the 2021 Dragons of Legend: The Complete Series, a collection curated to reprint popular cards from the original three-part series to make them more accessible to modern players. The design was inspired by Yugi Muto’s usage of the card during the Waking the Dragons story arc, specifically focusing on its ability to banish spells from the graveyard to gain power.

The card features artwork that depicts a mystical fusion between the Dark Magician and The Eye of Timaeus, a pivotal thematic element in the series. As a Fusion Monster, it was designed to reward players for running spell-heavy decks, reflecting the tactical flexibility of Yugi’s legendary deck. Upon its initial debut, it was well-received by fans of the animated series who enjoyed the mechanical integration of plot-specific cards into the competitive meta.
