Ancient Gear Reborn

Ancient Gear Reborn was released in 2017 as part of the Raging Tempest booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Designed to provide tactical support for the Ancient Gear archetype, a series of cards rooted in the franchise's history and famously used by the character Crowler in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series, this trap card functions by allowing players to revive destroyed members of the set. Its design reflects the mechanical, industrial aesthetic consistent with the archetype's imagery of clockwork behemoths.

The card was developed to bolster the competitive viability of the Ancient Gear deck, which emphasizes high-damage output and the negating of enemy trap cards during an attack. Upon its introduction in the Raging Tempest set, players and collectors noted its utility for maintaining field presence, cementing its role as a practical, common-rarity tool rather than a high-value collector's piece. The artwork, characterized by its rusty, metallic color palette, remains faithful to the overarching design language established by Konami for the series over the past two decades.
