Archfiend Palabyrinth

Archfiend Palabyrinth was introduced in the 2013 Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game set Judgment of the Light. This Field Spell card was designed to support the Archfiend archetype, a classic series of cards known for their high-risk, high-reward playstyle. By providing a way to Special Summon Archfiend monsters from the hand and offering a strategic ATK boost, the card was intended to modernize the deck's mechanics and incentivize aggressive board presence during the Xyz Summoning era of the game.

The card's aesthetic reflects the dark, gothic fantasy themes central to the Archfiend aesthetic. The design team sought to emphasize the synergy between the labyrinth setting and the infernal nature of the creatures inhabiting it. Upon release, it was regarded by players as a niche support piece, noted primarily for its ability to bypass certain summoning conditions, though it remains a thematic staple for collectors who appreciate the long-standing lore and evolving visuals of the Archfiend series.
