Assault Teleport

Assault Teleport was released in 2009 as part of the Crimson Crisis booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The card was designed to support the specific Assault Mode archetype, a mechanic introduced in the 5D's era that allowed players to tribute high-level monsters to summon powerful, upgraded versions of themselves. By allowing a player to draw two cards by returning an Assault Mode monster to the deck, the spell offered a strategic consistency tool for players committed to the high-risk, high-reward nature of the archetype.

The card features an illustration consistent with the aggressive, tech-heavy aesthetic of the 5D's series, focusing on the tactical deployment of futuristic equipment. While common in rarity, it became a functional staple for enthusiasts of the Assault Mode playstyle. Like many cards from this era, the design was aimed at balancing the potential bricking of opening hands that contained difficult-to-summon monsters, serving as a utilitarian engine to keep the game momentum flowing during the synchro-summoning period.
