Backup @Ignister

Backup @Ignister was originally released as a common card in the 2019 Japanese set Rising Rampage, later debuting in the TCG as part of the Cybernetic Horizon expansion. The card represents a key piece of the @Ignister archetype, which was prominently featured by the antagonist Ai in the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS animated series. Designed to facilitate combos by special summoning itself from the hand, the card’s aesthetic features the distinct, vibrant cybernetic art style characteristic of the @Ignister monsters, reflecting the series' digital-themed narrative.

The Lost Art Promotion is a recurring Konami initiative that distributes alternate-art versions of cards, often restoring artwork that was censored or modified during the initial Western localization process. The 2025 iteration of this promotion released LART-EN080 as an ultra-rare variant. Collectors value these releases for their aesthetic departure from standard printings and their status as promotional rewards for participating in organized play events at local game stores.
