Bean Soldier

Bean Soldier was released as part of the Tournament Pack: 1st Season, which hit shelves in early 2002. These packs were distributed exclusively to winners and top performers at early competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG events, serving as a reward for the burgeoning organized play scene. Unlike the standard retail booster packs of the time, these cards were intended to highlight specific, often obscure monsters that defined the game's initial card pool.

The card features an Earth-attribute Plant-type monster, characterized by its straightforward design typical of the game's early Normal Monsters. While it lacks unique effects, it fits into the visual aesthetic established by Kazuki Takahashi’s original vision for the series, emphasizing organic creatures with anthropomorphic traits. The artwork reflects the simplistic, direct style of the early Konami releases, which were aimed at mirroring the tactical, yet accessible, gameplay of the debut era of the trading card game.
