Beetrooper Squad

The Beetrooper Squad card was introduced as part of the 2022 Tin of the Pharaoh's Gods, a commemorative product released by Konami to package reprints of cards from the previous year's major booster sets. This specific card debuted as part of the Beetrooper archetype, a collection of Insect-type monsters and support spells and traps that first appeared in the Dawn of Majesty core set. The design of the archetype emphasizes a hive-mind aesthetic, utilizing bright, bio-mechanical insect designs that lean into a stylized, futuristic look popular in modern card game art.

The trap card itself serves as thematic support for the Beetrooper strategy, allowing players to facilitate the summoning and cycling of their insect forces. Like much of the artwork for the Beetrooper theme, it was produced by Konami’s internal art studio to maintain a cohesive visual identity for the set. Upon its release, the Beetrooper strategy was well-regarded by competitive players for its aggressive playstyle, though as a common-rarity trap, Beetrooper Squad is primarily viewed as a functional utility piece rather than a centerpiece of the collection.
