Black Luster Ritual

Black Luster Ritual was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as a core component of the set Metal Raiders. It serves as the necessary ritual spell card to summon Black Luster Soldier, one of the game's most iconic monsters popularized by the character Yugi Muto in the original anime series. The design mirrors the aesthetic of early ritual spells, featuring a monochromatic, mystical illustration that emphasizes the dark, ceremonial nature of the summon.

The Duelist Pack: Yugi version, cataloged as DPYG-EN022, was released to provide players with easier access to classic cards associated with the protagonist. By reprinting these staples in a common rarity, Konami allowed newer players to experience the foundational mechanics of ritual summoning without the high secondary market costs often associated with original set releases. It remains a nostalgic fixture for collectors who appreciate the lore-heavy history of Yugi's deck.
