Black Pendant

Black Pendant was originally introduced in the Metal Raiders expansion of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in 2002. It serves as an equip spell card that provides a modest attack boost to a monster and deals a small amount of burn damage to the opponent when it is sent to the graveyard. The card was designed as a versatile support piece intended to incentivize tactical trades, allowing players to squeeze out extra damage during the transition between the board and the discard pile.

The version included in War of the Giants: Round 2, released in 2014, was part of a special set designed to mimic a draft-style gameplay experience. This reprint reflects the card's long-standing status as a staple utility spell in the game's history. While the aesthetic retains the original gothic, mystical illustration typical of early-era spell cards, the common rarity in this specific set emphasizes its functional role as a accessible card for players looking to bolster their offensive strategies in a limited format.
