Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn

Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the broader Blackwing archetype, a series of Dark-attribute Winged Beast monsters first released in the late 2000s. These cards were inspired by the character Crow Hogan from the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime series, with the archetype designed around swarm tactics and synergy between members to facilitate rapid Synchro Summoning. Sirocco specifically functions as a key support monster that can tribute other Blackwings to increase its own attack, reflecting the cooperative nature of the deck's gameplay mechanics.

The Duelist League 17 version of this card, numbered DL17-EN007, was distributed as a participation prize during organized play events. Duelist League cards are often sought after by collectors for their distinct card frame and rarity treatments, which differ from standard booster pack releases. The illustration, consistent with the original design by Konami's in-house artists, maintains the dark, high-contrast aesthetic typical of the Blackwing theme, which has remained one of the most recognizable and enduring archetypes in the game's history since its debut.
