Blast Sphere

Blast Sphere was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Duelist Pack: Battle City set, which was designed to celebrate the iconic arc from the original animated series. This set was curated to recreate the signature strategies used by major characters during the Battle City tournament, bringing cards previously seen on screen into the hands of players. The card itself draws directly from the deck of Bandit Keith, reflecting his aggressive and trap-heavy playstyle.

The design of the card, featuring a mechanical, bomb-like sphere, aligns with the theme of machine-type monsters prevalent in the Battle City era. Its effect is thematic to the 'bomb' motif, punishing opponents who attack it by equipping itself to their monster and triggering a detonation. While the card is a common rarity, it remains a notable piece of nostalgia for fans of the early Duelist Kingdom and Battle City narratives who appreciate cards that bridge the gap between plot-relevant mechanics and the established trading card game rules.
