Blockout Curtain

Blockout Curtain was introduced in the Rising Rampage booster set, which was released by Konami in the summer of 2019. As a common rarity card, it served as part of the broader supporting arsenal for various archetypes within the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Its design follows the established aesthetic of the game's spell cards, utilizing a functional effect meant to provide defensive utility during combat, typical of cards released to balance the faster-paced meta environment of that period.

The card features artwork consistent with the game’s tradition of blending fantasy motifs with tactical gear, depicting a spectral or magical barrier. Like many common-tier cards in the set, it was designed primarily to fill specific niches in deck building rather than serving as a centerpiece card. It was received by the player base as a budget-friendly option for players looking to manipulate attack values and protect specific monsters from battle destruction, reflecting the set's intent to provide versatile tools for casual and competitive players alike.
