Provenance

Where it came from

Bound Wand was released in the 2019 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster set The Infinity Chasers, a set primarily focused on introducing the Witchcrafter, Evil Eye, and Infinitrack archetypes. As a Super Rare card within this collection, it serves as a generic Equip Spell designed to provide a strategic boost to a monster's attack power while offering a recovery mechanic should the card be sent to the Graveyard from the field.

The card’s design aligns with the high-fantasy aesthetic often found in the Witchcrafter archetype, emphasizing mystical tools and magical empowerment. While the card did not shift the competitive meta drastically upon its arrival, it remains a recognized example of the utility-focused support cards frequently included in thematic booster sets to add depth to various spellcaster-based deck strategies.
