Bujingi Crane

The Bujingi Crane was originally introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Bujin archetype, a theme centered around Japanese mythology and the solar deity Amaterasu. The card debuted in the Shadow Specters booster set before being reprinted as a Super Rare in the 2014 Mega-Tins, which were designed to provide players with more accessible versions of highly sought-after competitive cards from the previous year's expansions.

The card's design features the artwork of a stylized crane, consistent with the Bujin aesthetic that leans heavily into traditional Japanese folklore and aesthetic motifs. In competitive play, the card became a staple for Bujin decks due to its ability to be sent from the hand to the graveyard to boost the attack of a Bujin monster during damage calculation. It was widely received by players as a critical defensive and offensive utility that allowed the deck to compete against higher-attack monsters of that era.
