Bujintei Susanowo

Bujintei Susanowo was originally released as a Secret Rare in the 2013 Judgment of the Light booster set before appearing as an Ultra Rare in the 2014 Mega-Tin Mega Pack. The card belongs to the Bujin archetype, a series heavily influenced by Japanese mythology and the Shinto sun goddess Amaterasu. As an Xyz Monster, it serves as the centerpiece for the Bujin strategy, designed to facilitate card searching and board presence within a playstyle that focuses on protecting a singular powerful monster.

The card's design features the titular Susanowo, the storm god of Japanese folklore, depicted in a futuristic, mechanical aesthetic consistent with the Yugioh card game's overall visual direction. It was received by the competitive community as a potent utility tool, lauded for its ability to filter the deck for specific Bujin pieces and its flexible combat stats. Its inclusion in the 2014 Mega-Tin provided players with a more accessible version of a card that had previously been a high-demand chase rare.
