Card Blocker

Card Blocker was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the Ra Yellow Mega Pack, released in 2012. This set was specifically designed to provide players with accessible reprints of cards that had previously been difficult to acquire, as well as several cards inspired by the Ra Yellow dormitory from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX animated series. The design of the card reflects the aesthetic of the early 2010s era of the game, focusing on mechanical and defensive monster archetypes.

The card features an effect that forces opponents to attack it, serving as a tactical tool to protect other monsters or set up defensive plays. While it was not a centerpiece of the competitive meta, it represents the ongoing effort by Konami to expand the utility of Earth-attribute machine-type monsters. The artwork adheres to the technical, industrial style common in cards of its set, aiming to provide a functional, low-rarity option for casual deck builders and collectors focused on the GX-themed releases.
