Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer

Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer was first introduced in the Primal Origin booster set in 2014, eventually appearing as an Ultra Rare in the 2019 Duel Devastator collection. This card was designed as a Rank 4 Xyz Monster to provide players with a versatile tool for board control, specifically through its ability to shuffle an opponent's face-up card back into the deck. Its art style reflects the theme of a bird-themed avian duelist, a aesthetic choice consistent with the Winged Beast archetype common in the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game.

The Duel Devastator set was curated by Konami to provide a collection of high-utility cards that were essential for competitive play at the time. By reprinting Castel, the developers ensured that players had accessible options for non-destruction removal, which was a critical tactical requirement in the game's evolving meta. The card was well-received by the competitive community for its reliability and its ability to bypass cards that were otherwise protected from conventional destruction effects.
