Provenance

Where it came from

Chaos Infinity was released as part of the Extreme Victory booster set in 2011, a period when the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game was heavily focusing on archetypes that utilized the graveyard and Banished zones. This card was designed to support the Machine-type synergy introduced during the 5D's era, specifically targeting the Meklord archetype. Its mechanics reflect a defensive yet opportunistic strategy, allowing players to Special Summon a Meklord Emperor from their hand while simultaneously flipping all face-down defense position monsters into face-up attack position.

The card's art and design align with the chaotic, industrial aesthetic of the Meklord machines, featuring a visual style characteristic of the mid-2010s Konami card design team. As a rare-tier card within the set, it was intended to serve as a utility trap for players looking to disrupt opponents or trigger specific Machine-type effects. While it never became a staple in competitive meta-game play, it remains a recognized piece for collectors focused on the thematic expansion of the Extreme Victory era.
