Chronicle Magician

Chronicle Magician was introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Ghosts From the Past: The 2nd Haunting set, released in 2022. The card was designed to support decks themed around the Dark Magician, serving as a specialized searcher and special summon tool that rewards players for controlling iconic high-level spellcasters. Its aesthetic draws heavily from the classic visual language of the franchise's original protagonist, aiming to provide mechanical viability to legacy archetypes that have been central to the game's identity since its inception.

The card features artwork that mirrors the visual hierarchy and mystical motifs associated with the Dark Magician lineage, created by the dedicated Konami art team responsible for the game's ongoing illustration style. Within the competitive community, the card was received as a functional tool for consistent deck building, particularly valued for its ability to bridge gaps in synergy for fans of the show's lore. Its inclusion in the Ghosts From the Past series highlights the brand's commitment to reissuing and augmenting nostalgic character sets for modern play.
