Condemned Witch

Condemned Witch was introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in the Battles of Legend: Glorious Gallery set, released in 2023. This set was designed as an all-foil compilation, curating highly requested reprints and select new cards from the Japanese OCG release structure. The card serves as a thematic continuation of the 'Forbidden' spell card lore, depicting a figure central to the aesthetic narrative of high-fantasy occultism that characterizes much of the game's monster design.

The card features an effect specifically designed to search for Forbidden quick-play spells, acting as a tactical bridge between legacy support and modern deck construction. Its artwork follows the established style of the franchise’s illustrators, who utilize intricate, dark-fantasy motifs to create a sense of mechanical synergy between the monster's visual identity and its gameplay function. Upon release, the card was received by players as a niche but essential utility piece for decks reliant on controlling the field through Forbidden spell cards.
