Dark Ruler Ha Des

Dark Ruler Ha Des made its debut in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as a powerful representative of the Fiend-type archetype, initially released as an Ultra Rare in the Legacy of Darkness expansion. Designed to embody the fearsome aesthetics of underworld rulers, the card features artwork depicting a demonic entity synonymous with overwhelming field control. Its design was intended to provide players with a reliable counter-measure against Flip Effect monsters, cementing its status as a staple for aggressive, deck-thinning strategies during the game's early competitive era.

The Champion Pack: Game Five release, which included this specific printing as a Rare, was part of a specialized distribution series intended primarily for tournament venues and hobby stores. These packs were never sold at retail, instead functioning as rewards for organized play. This particular version is valued by collectors not only for its distinct rarity tier but also for its role in the legacy of Konami’s promotional support for the game’s professional circuit, preserving a snapshot of the competitive environment at the time of its issue.
