Destiny HERO - Malicious

Destiny HERO - Malicious was first introduced in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game as part of the Tactical Evolution set in 2007. It was designed to support the Destiny HERO archetype, a series of monsters introduced during the GX era of the franchise, which focused on graveyard utility and special summoning mechanics to facilitate advanced summons. Its ability to summon a copy of itself from the deck quickly established it as a staple engine for competitive players, shifting the landscape of deck building by emphasizing consistency and graveyard resources.

The specific version released in the Ra Yellow Mega Pack, numbered RYMP-EN034, is a Secret Rare variant that arrived during a 2012 reprint initiative. This pack was intended to make classic cards from the early GX era accessible again, often featuring updated rarities like the distinctive Secret Rare diagonal holofoil pattern. This printing is particularly noted by collectors for its aesthetic departure from the original common and ultra-rare variants, serving as a high-end centerpiece for fans of the Destiny HERO series.
