Dicephoon

Dicephoon was released in 2012 as part of the Order of Chaos booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The card was designed to capitalize on the popularity of dice-based mechanics, which occasionally appeared in Konami's card sets to add an element of chance to the game's competitive environment. As a spell card, it allowed players to destroy a spell or trap card on the field by rolling a six-sided die, with a successful result of one, three, or six.

The card's design features the titular creature, a chaotic, storm-like entity represented with wind-swept, elemental motifs. It was illustrated to reflect the unpredictable and tempestuous nature of the dice roll it represents. While common in rarity and not a staple in high-level tournament play due to the lack of guaranteed success, it remains a notable example of the experimental, luck-dependent cards that frequently populated the expansion sets of that era.
