Disguise, the Copycat Hero

Disguise, the Copycat Hero (DOOD-EN081) was released as part of the Doom of Dimensions expansion set. Designed as a common rarity effect monster, it serves as a utility card within the set’s broader narrative of multiversal instability, where characters are defined by their ability to mimic or adapt to opposing forces. The card reflects the mechanical focus of the Doom of Dimensions series, which emphasizes reactive playstyles and board state manipulation.

The illustrative direction for this card was intended to capture the ephemeral nature of a 'copycat' figure, utilizing sleek, minimalist character design to contrast with the more chaotic artwork found elsewhere in the set. Upon its release, the card was received primarily as a budget-friendly option for players looking to incorporate adaptive monster effects into their decks without the higher rarity requirements typically associated with such mechanics.
