Djinn Presider of Rituals

Djinn Presider of Rituals was released in 2009 as part of the Stardust Overdrive booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The card is a member of the Djinn archetype, a collection of monsters designed to support Ritual Summoning strategies by being banished from the graveyard to provide additional effects to a newly summoned Ritual Monster. This specific card was introduced during a period when Konami was attempting to revitalize the viability of the Ritual mechanic by providing versatile support that could be used from the graveyard.

The design of the card reflects the dark, mystical aesthetic typical of the Stardust Overdrive era, featuring art that emphasizes the supernatural, ethereal nature of the Djinn creatures. As an effect monster, its utility was grounded in the ability to grant the player an extra draw when a Ritual Monster it helped summon destroyed an opponent's monster. It was received by players as a functional, niche utility piece that offered incremental advantage, though it remained largely overshadowed by more powerful cards in the same set.
