Double Cipher

Double Cipher was released in 2017 as part of the Duelist Pack: Dimensional Guardians set, a specialized booster expansion designed to provide new support for archetypes utilized by characters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime series. This card was specifically developed to support the Cipher archetype, which is central to the deck of the antagonist Kaito Tenjo, known in the English dub as Kite Tenjo. Its introduction served to broaden the tactical options for players building Cipher-themed decks, allowing them to bridge the gap between their monster effects and trap-based disruptions.

The card’s design and illustration center on the thematic aesthetic of the Cipher series, which emphasizes futuristic, neon-geometric motifs often associated with the game’s later iterations. As a common rarity card, it was distributed widely, aimed at providing accessible utility for casual players rather than high-end collectors. While it did not shift the competitive metagame, it remains a recognized component of the Cipher support line, serving as a functional piece for fans of the ARC-V era's character-based card design.
