Double Coston

Double Coston was released as part of the Structure Deck: Zombie Madness in 2005, a pre-constructed product designed to provide players with a cohesive, ready-to-play strategy centered around Zombie-type monsters. The set emerged during a period when Konami was increasingly supporting specific creature archetypes to diversify gameplay, moving away from generic good-stuff decks toward synergistic themes.

The card features an effect that allows it to be treated as two tributes for the summon of a DARK monster, a mechanical nod to the high-level monster support common in mid-2000s design. While it served as a functional utility piece for Zombie enthusiasts, its design remained utilitarian, characterized by the standard common-rarity aesthetic prevalent in Structure Decks of that era, meant primarily to bridge the gap between early-game board presence and high-impact boss monsters.
