Dragon Ravine

Dragon Ravine was first introduced to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game in 2011 as part of the Dragunity Legion Structure Deck. The card is a field spell designed to support the Dragunity archetype, reflecting the lore of the Dragunity monsters—a faction of dragon-riders who utilize their dragon mounts as equipped weapons. It was created to provide consistency to the deck, allowing players to search for specific monsters while managing their graveyard, a central mechanic for the archetype.

The card’s artwork and mechanical design were crafted to emphasize the theme of aerial tactical superiority. By allowing players to discard a card to add a Dragunity monster from their deck to their hand, it captured the strategic essence of 'scouting' from a mountainous ravine. Upon its release, it became a cornerstone for competitive and casual play alike, widely recognized for its ability to accelerate the speed of the Dragunity strategy and maintain board pressure throughout a duel.
