Driven Daredevil

Driven Daredevil was released in the 2012 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster set Order of Chaos. This expansion was heavily themed around the Xyz Summoning mechanic, which had been introduced the previous year to redefine the speed and tactical flow of the game. As a Synchro Monster, Driven Daredevil represented a carry-over from the previous era of gameplay, providing players with a specific tool for aggressive play during the Damage Step.

The card’s design reflects the high-octane aesthetic common to the set, utilizing a fiery, kinetic illustration style intended to convey the monster's ability to boost its own attack power. Like other Secret Rares in the Order of Chaos set, it features the distinct prismatic foil finish that became a hallmark of high-tier card chase variants. While not considered a centerpiece of the competitive meta at the time of its debut, it remains a notable example of the transitional design philosophy used by Konami to keep older summon types relevant alongside newer mechanics.
