Earthbound Prisoner Stone Sweeper

Earthbound Prisoner Stone Sweeper was released in the Phantom Revenge set, which arrived as part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game's ongoing expansion of the Earthbound archetype. This card belongs to a series that reimagines the classic Earthbound Immortal monsters from the 5D's era as a tactical, ground-based squad. The design team sought to modernize the archetype by integrating them into the modern Synchro Summoning mechanics, allowing players to bridge the gap between older thematic designs and current high-speed competitive play.

The artistic direction for the Earthbound Prisoner series focuses on gritty, industrial fantasy aesthetics, contrasting the divine, god-like presence of the original Immortals with a more grounded, militaristic appearance. As a rare card in the Phantom Revenge set, it served as a key utility piece for dedicated players, widely recognized for its ability to search for support cards and facilitate swarming tactics. Its reception within the community has been largely positive, praised by deck builders for adding necessary consistency to a long-niche fan-favorite strategy.
