Endless Decay

Endless Decay was introduced in the Structure Deck: Zombie Horde, released by Konami in late 2018. This deck was designed to revitalize the Zombie-type archetype by centering on field spell mechanics and graveyard-based synergies, specifically building upon the influence of the 'Zombie World' card. The deck aimed to provide players with a cohesive, ready-to-play strategy that rewarded long-term resource management rather than explosive, single-turn combos.

The design of Endless Decay reflects the classic horror aesthetic prevalent throughout the Zombie Horde set. As an effect monster, its utility is rooted in its ability to enter the field with high attack power dependent on the player's life point total, a thematic nod to the inevitable and creeping nature of decay. It was received by the player base as a solid niche addition, prized for its ability to function as an emergency beatstick or a target for specialized graveyard resurrection effects.
